About New Jersey – Living in the Garden State of the United States
New Jersey is one of the states in the United States of America. Located in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions, New Jersey is bordered on the north, east, southwest, and west by New York, Atlantic Ocean, Delaware, and Pennsylvania respectively. The name of the state was derived from the name of the largest English Channel Islands named Jersey.
Some of the primary industries that contributes to New Jersey's economy include telecommunications, pharmaceutical industries, printing and publishing, food processing, and tourism. Many pharmaceutical firms held manufacturing plants in the state including Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Novartis, Merck, Schering-Plough, Wyeth among others. Another great contributor to New Jersey's economy is the shipping industry. This is maybe due to the strategic location in which the state stands through. One of the world's largest container ports known as Port Newark-Elizabeth Marine Terminal is found in New Jersey.
New Jersey is considered as one of the best states to live in the United States where employment possibilities are abundant. This is one of the reasons why New Jersey continues to attract people in search for good paying jobs, high-quality health care, outstanding education, and one of the best places to raise your kids. It is expected though that you would be paying more when you live in New Jersey; however, you are always assured that you will be getting what you paid for in exchange to the many positive things that you are ought to enjoy when you choose to live in New Jersey.
